Our Purpose is Love

Well, God decided to press pause on the Magdalene dialogue, along with the Agape’ Project launch to interject a personal message that I believe is really for all of us….not just me.

Manifestation

I just finished reading the first book on manifestation that I could actually philosophically and theologically agree with.  The Laws of Manifestation by David Spangler, unlike any of the other pop-culture books I have read on this process, offers a God-centered, discernment-driven approach to allowing our truest self to become manifest in the world, thereby drawing to us everything we need to experience the incarnation of our truest selves that is in our highest good and inevitably in service to the world.  I breathed a sigh of relief after reading this gem, glad to have found something practical that also resonated with what I had come to know as truth.  David has also developed a visual meditation process that can be used as a tool to help us manifest our highest selves in the world and to draw to ourselves what we need to accomplish this task.   Always ready to grow in my life’s journey, I decided to engage this visual meditation process and see what might happen.  I was quickly reminded of how God always has the final word…..or should I say, the last laugh?!

Asking About Abundance Again?

Apparently still suffering from the illusion of “lack” I decided to turn to the visual meditation process with my questions, hopes, dreams for financial prosperity and abundance.  As I expected to be shown the path to abundance, God turned the tables on me.  What God decided to show me instead was that the path to wealth (as I understood it) was incongruent with the needs of my family, my intimate relationships and my introverted self.  The path to “abundance,” God showed me, was not about “working harder” or “getting out there” or “travel, workshops, or consulting” (for now).  Instead, these were God’s DIRECT words to me as I pondered this visual meditation:

Lauri, your purpose in this life is LOVE

To deeply love and to be deeply loved in return.

Period.

Let’s just say I was deeply moved by these words…..ok…..I started bawling!   So, it is not about the money, or the marketing strategy, or “the work.”  What God wanted me to know today is that all it is truly about is love.  This message is important to me regarding some deeply personal matters, but beyond that, it also has bearing on my general life and ministry…..and I believe for your life as well.  What I understood God to be saying to me is that if I hold my intention and attention on loving generously and deeply….whether in my intimate, familial, friendship, ministerial or community relationships that everything I need for the unfolding of my soul will be abundantly present.  What that means on a practical level is that as I focus on being loving, my business will be nurtured and grow, other people will find healing, comfort and growth, my intimate relationships will deepen and grow, my work in the community will be fruitful.  It isn’t about “doing the work” or “writing that darn book” or networking my butt off…instead, it is quite simply about L  O  V  E  love.  As I allow the love that I am to be expressed through me, all will be nurtured and grow.  How cool is that?

Remembering the love that YOU are

I share this personal message from God with you because I do not believe that this message is only for me.  In fact, I believe this might be God’s message for each and every one of us. We are here to be love…..to remember love….to live love….to share love…to give love.  And when we remember this love, all that we need to continue to grow in that love begins to manifest in our lives…..harmonious, loving relationships, fulfilling work, abundant joy, peace, health and happiness.  So, let’s get started, shall we?

How are you being invited to love deeply?

How are you being invited to be the recipient of generous love?
